Ingredients
  

For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed) Use fresh, high-quality puff pastry for the best texture.
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar Or a mix of sugar and cinnamon.
  • 1 tbsp apricot jam Optional, for glaze.
  • powdered sugar for dusting
For the Filling
  • 2 red apples thinly sliced Ensure apples are thinly sliced for easy rolling.
  • 1/2 lemon juice Helps prevent the apples from browning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Slice the apples very thin and place them in a bowl with lemon juice and water. Microwave for 2 minutes to soften.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut it into 6 strips.
Assembly
  1. Brush each strip with melted butter and sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar.
  2. Place overlapping apple slices along one side of each strip.
  3. Fold the pastry over the bottom edge and roll each strip into a rose shape.
  4. Place the rolled pastries into the muffin tin.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35–40 minutes until the pastry is golden.
  2. Optional: Brush the tops with apricot jam for a shiny finish, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
