Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Gently fold in the chopped apples and nuts if using.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring the loaf to a wire rack to cool completely.
