  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fruits and Optional Ingredients
  • 2 cups peeled and chopped apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Gently fold in the chopped apples and nuts if using.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring the loaf to a wire rack to cool completely.
