Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar until well blended.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
