Ingredients

Fries Base
  • 1 lb French fries Homemade or frozen
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For frying
  • 1 tbsp Butter For frying
Toppings
  • 1 cup Diced white onions For caramelizing
  • 1/2 tsp Salt To season onions
  • 1 cup American cheese Slices or shredded
  • 1/2 cup Crispy bacon bits For garnishing
  • 1 cup Caramelized onions For layering
Creamy Orange Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Base of the sauce
  • 1 tbsp Yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp Chopped pickles For texture and flavor
  • 2 tbsp Chives Chopped for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a non-stick pan, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onions and season with a pinch of salt. Stir regularly until the onions are deeply caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. While your onions are cooking, combine mayonnaise, yellow mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chopped pickles, and chives in a mixing bowl. Whisk until you achieve a smooth, creamy orange sauce.
Assembly
  1. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper and pile on your golden-brown french fries.
  2. Layer slices of American cheese generously over the fries, then sprinkle on the crispy bacon bits and caramelized onions.
  3. Drizzle the creamy orange sauce liberally over the top and serve hot.
