Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Pasta of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic, crushed
  • 750 grams Lean Ground Beef
  • 600 grams canned Tomato Soup, condensed
  • 600 grams canned Mushroom Soup, condensed
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and spray a large oven dish with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the pasta in a large pot according to the instructions on the packet.
  3. While the pasta is cooking, sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until done.
  4. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and return it to the pot.
  5. Add the cooked meat, condensed tomato and mushroom soups, and milk to the pasta. Stir to combine and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared oven dish. Sprinkle with paprika and dried parsley.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Amish Country Casserole!

Notes

For a variation, you can add shredded cheese on top before baking for extra indulgence. This casserole is great for meal prep and leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days.
