- In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, add the 1/3 cup sugar, warm water, honey, and dry yeast. Mix gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Warm the milk and add it to the yeast mixture, then stir well.
- Melt 5 tablespoons of butter in the microwave and add it to the mixture.
- Gradually add 2 cups of flour, using the dough hook to mix.
- Next, add the remaining melted butter, salt, and 2 more cups of flour.
- Turn on the mixer and knead for 7 to 10 minutes. If the dough feels sticky, sprinkle in flour, a little at a time, until it forms a stretchy ball.
- Allow the dough to rise until it doubles in size, then shape it as desired.

Notes
Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze slices with parchment paper between to prevent sticking. To reheat, thaw at room temperature or put back in the oven.
