Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound scallops Pat dry before seasoning. If frozen, thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Used for coating. Can substitute avocado oil for higher smoke point.
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Or 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds color and mild warmth; smoked paprika works too.
  • Salt and pepper To taste, use kosher salt for even seasoning.
For Serving
  • Lemon wedges Serve with a squeeze over scallops.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat scallops dry with paper towels to remove surface moisture.
  2. In a bowl, toss scallops with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until lightly coated.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  2. Arrange scallops in a single layer in the basket, making sure they do not touch.
  3. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 6–8 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
  4. Check doneness: scallops should be opaque, firm, and spring back when pressed.
Serving
  1. Transfer scallops to warmed plates and squeeze fresh lemon over them before serving.

Notes
