Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb large sea scallops Choose fresh scallops for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter Coconut oil can also be used for a different flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Optional for serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the scallops under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the scallops with olive oil (or melted butter), garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, ensuring each scallop is evenly coated.

Air Frying

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Arrange the scallops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t touch each other.
  • Cook the scallops for 6-8 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown on the outside and opaque in the center.

Serving

  • Carefully remove the scallops from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes or as part of a seafood platter.

Notes

Leftover scallops can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes until warmed through. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer for even cooking.
