Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the fillets and rub it in gently.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, paprika, Kosher salt, and cracked pepper. Mix well.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the top of the salmon. Press lightly so it adheres.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place fillets in a single layer, skin-side down if applicable.
Cooking
- Set the air fryer to 400°F (205°C) and cook for 8 minutes.
- Check for doneness. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches at least 145°F (63°C). If you prefer medium doneness, remove it at 125–130°F for carryover cooking.
- Remove salmon from the air fryer, squeeze fresh lemon over the top, and serve immediately.

Notes
Swap avocado oil for olive oil for a higher smoke point. Use 1/4 teaspoon onion powder if you don’t have garlic powder. If cooking thicker fillets, increase cook time slightly and monitor doneness.
