Preparation
  1. Start by drying the chicken thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Toss the chicken in a bowl with the olive or avocado oil, ensuring every piece is coated evenly.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Include cayenne if desired.
  4. Coat the chicken tenders with the spice mix, making sure they're fully covered.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  3. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Finishing Touch
  1. Let the tenders rest for 2 minutes before serving.
