Method
- In a medium to large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and shredded parmesan cheese until well combined.
- In a smaller bowl, combine the Italian-style panko bread crumbs with salt, Old Bay Seasoning, and pepper.
- Coat each piece of shrimp first in the mayonnaise and cheese mixture, then in the seasoned bread crumb mixture, ensuring each shrimp is evenly coated.
- Brush the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place each coated shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the shrimp in batches.
- Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook the shrimp for 10 minutes, pausing halfway through to turn the shrimp with a spatula to ensure both sides cook evenly.
- Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
These air fryer fried shrimp are best served hot and crispy. Feel free to customize the seasoning according to your taste preferences. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, although they may lose some of their crispiness upon reheating.
