Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
- Lightly butter both sides of each slice of bread.
- Create a shallow well in the center of each slice using a spoon or the back of a fork.
- Crack one egg into each well.
- Season the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cooking
- Carefully place the slices of bread with eggs into the preheated air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes until the egg whites are set but the yolks remain runny.
- Open the air fryer and sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top of each egg.
- Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Carefully remove the toast using a spatula, place it on plates, and garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
