  • 2 slices slices of bread (your choice of whole grain, white, or sourdough) Feel free to use any type of bread.
  • 2 large large eggs
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your preferred cheese) Choose your favorite cheese.
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped chives or parsley for garnish Enhances presentation and flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  2. Lightly butter both sides of each slice of bread.
  3. Create a shallow well in the center of each slice using a spoon or the back of a fork.
  4. Crack one egg into each well.
  5. Season the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Carefully place the slices of bread with eggs into the preheated air fryer basket.
  2. Air fry for 6-8 minutes until the egg whites are set but the yolks remain runny.
  3. Open the air fryer and sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top of each egg.
  4. Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Carefully remove the toast using a spatula, place it on plates, and garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
