Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on (about 4 pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce (optional) Optional for flavor enhancement
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Preparation

  • Place the chicken thighs in a large sealable bag.
  • Add the vegetable oil and all the seasonings to the bag.
  • Seal the bag and shake well to coat the chicken evenly.
  • Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight.

Cooking

  • When ready to cook, preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  • Place the thighs, skin side up, in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 25–28 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • You can turn the chicken over halfway through for even cooking if you like.

Serving

  • Serve immediately with sides like mashed potatoes or vegetables.

Notes

Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed to ensure even cooking and crispiness. For extra flavor, you can add different herbs and spices to the marinade based on your preferences. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature to ensure it’s fully cooked. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
