Grilled steak kabobs

INGREDIENTS:

Marinade

  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh rosemary or 2 teaspoons dry rosemary
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Kabobs

  • 1 pound beef sirloin
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, cut in half
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients and stir thoroughly.
  2. Cut the sirloin into approximately 1-inch pieces and place them in a large resealable bag.
  3. Pour the marinade into the bag with the steak, seal it, and refrigerate. Allow the steak to marinate for at least 30 minutes, although 3 hours is preferable for optimal tenderization.
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before assembling the kabobs.
  5. When you are nearly ready to cook, cut the mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions into 1-inch pieces.
  6. Place the vegetables in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
