Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess grease.
Add the chopped onion and green pepper, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low, then add the minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in the apple cider vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, ketchup, chili powder, and water.
Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes, then spoon it onto the buns.
Notes
For the spicy barbecue sauce, you can use your favorite brand or make your own by adding hot sauce or cayenne pepper to regular barbecue sauce.
