Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic
minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil
chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, milk, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
In a casserole dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Add a layer of baked meatballs, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

- Use lean ground beef to reduce excess fat.
