RECIPE :
Ribeye steak
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 rib steak
- sea salt flakes
- freshly ground black pepper
- 50 g butter
- 2 sprigs of thyme
- 1 clove of garlic crushed with its skin
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Take the steak out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking for even temperature.
- Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 2 to 3 minutes on each side (adjust time based on thickness and desired doneness). For reference, a 3 cm thick steak should take about 5 minutes for medium doneness.
- After the first flip, add butter, thyme, and garlic to the pan. Baste the steak with the melted butter for one minute by tilting the pan and pouring the butter over the steak.
- Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
- Slice the steak across the grain, season, and serve with your preferred sides and sauce.
