Praline Popcorn

Why settle for plain buttered popcorn when you can indulge in the delightful combination of caramelly sweet pralines and popcorn? This irresistible popcorn mix adds a southern-inspired praline twist to elevate your movie night or party snacking experience.
To prepare this delectable treat, begin with about eight cups of air-popped popcorn. If using microwaved popcorn, opt for a variety that is light on butter and salt to ensure the praline flavor shines through. Combine the popcorn with pecans for an added layer of texture and nuttiness.
In a saucepan, melt a mixture of butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup to create the sweet and crunchy praline coating. Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove it from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda to enhance the candy crunch. While this recipe requires a bit more time than standard popcorn, the delicious result is well worth the effort, making it a perfect choice for special occasions, parties, or cozy movie nights.
