Old Fashioned Goulash

INGREDIENTS:
- 2 lbs ground beef or turkey
- 3 tsp minced garlic
- 1 large Yellow onion, diced
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (15-ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 1 T Italian seasoning
- 1 T Adobo Seasoning
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 T seasoned salt
- 1/2 T black pepper
- 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Begin by sautéing your ground meat in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it’s only half cooked. Then, remove it from the heat.
- Next, add the garlic, onions, and olive oil to the skillet. Continue cooking until the meat is fully cooked.
- Add the water, broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, bay leaves, and seasonings like salt, pepper, and adobo seasoning. Mix everything together.
- Reduce the heat, cover the skillet, and let it cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Introduce the uncooked elbow macaroni to the skillet, making sure to stir it well until it’s evenly combined.
- Cover the skillet once more and let it simmer for approximately 30 minutes.
- Don’t forget to remove the bay leaves when you’re finished.
- Add the cheddar cheese and stir until it’s fully combined.
- Finally, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top just before serving.
