NYC Style Chocolate Chip Cookies
“NYC Style Chocolate Chip Cookies are a delectable treat that captures the essence of the bustling streets of New York City in each bite.”
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this dry mixture aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
