° 1 packet of borax
° One can of washing soda / sodium carbonate / sodium ash
° 1 piece of Castile soap (scented or unscented)
Using a cheese grater or food processor, grate the entire bar of Castile soap. Make sure to grate it well, roughly to a powdery substance.
In a large, non-food bowl, add 2 parts borax and washing soda. Mix well.
Add a portion of the grated soap to the mixture.
Put the mixture in a covered plastic container and ready for the next day of washing.
To help make clothes smell fresh, you can add a pinch of baking soda and a few drops of scented oils for the fresh scent of freshly washed clothes.
* Ingredients :
Like those found in soap powder in addition to water.
* Procedure :
Grate the bar of soap into a very fine powder.
Putting grate soap in saucepan. Add 2 liters of water and put it on medium heat. My stir until the grated soap dissolves completely.
In a separate pot, heat 4.5 gallons of water to a boil and place it in a large heat-resistant bowl.
Thoroughly dissolve a cup of borax and a cup of washing soda in the water before adding the concentrated soap mixture. Mix well by stirring.
Let the mixture stand overnight before transferring it to smaller containers for storage.
If you want larger quantities, simply double or double the amount of each ingredient. Just make sure you have large enough containers to hold the detergents you will be producing.
