Homemade Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients :

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup fresh cream
1/4 cup salted butter

Directions :

  1. Add sugar to a pan and keep it on medium flame.
  2. Don’t stir and let the sugar melt. Once the sugar has melted and there aren’t any crystals, use a whisk to stir a bit.
  3. Add butter to the pan and whisk to mix the butter with the melted sugar.
  4. Let the butter melt completely.
  5. Now add fresh cream and whisk continuously to get a homogenous mixture.
  6. Just cook it for 1-2 minutes and then turn off the flame.
  7. Let the sauce cool down completely and you will notice that the sauce has thickened a bit.
  8. Store it in an airtight container or use it as a topping on ice creams and cakes.
