Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube crescent dough sheet
  • 20 – 22 slices Black Forest Ham, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) and spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray, or grease it with butter.
  2. Open the tube of crescent dough and unroll it with the longest side of the dough at the bottom to form a rectangle. Pinch the seams closed and lightly press out the dough to make it a bit thinner, approximately 10 x 13 inches.
  3. Lay 6 slices of Swiss cheese on the dough, leaving a 1/4 inch margin at the edges.
  4. Top the cheese with the slices of Black Forest Ham (fold the slices over if necessary), then lay down the remaining slices of cheese on top of the ham.
  5. Start rolling up the dough with the ingredients inside, beginning with the longest side. Roll as tightly as possible and pinch the ends closed.
  6. Cut the rolled dough into 18 pieces.
  7. Carefully place the rollups in the prepared baking dish, ensuring they are evenly spaced and pinching any seams that may have separated.
  8. In a bowl, mix together the melted butter, poppy seeds, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  9. Pour the sauce evenly over the rolls.
  10. Bake, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes until they are browned.
  11. Remove from the oven after cooking time and let cool slightly before removing from the dish.
  12. Enjoy your delicious ham and cheese rollups!
