Grandma’s Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

Ingredients:

* Cake:

° 1 and a half cups of flour, sifted

° 1 teaspoon of baking powder

° 1/4 cup of butter

° 2/3 cup of sugar

° 1 egg

° 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

° 1/2 cup of milk + 1/4 cup as needed

* Maple sauce:

° 1/5 cup maple syrup

° 1/5 cup  brown sugar

° 1/5 cup  boiling water

° 1/4 cup of butter

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 162 ° C. Combine the flour & baking powder . Put apart. In a bowl, cream the butter, gradually adding the sugar. Add the egg and vanilla. Add milk 1/4 cup at a time, stirring vigorously until combined. Blend dry & the wet  ingredients . Grease a 9 13 Pyrex plate very well with butter . Cast the mixture to the dish. Combine all the syrup ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce to the desired consistency, then pour over the cake. Bake for 45 minutes.
