Easy Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls
“Easy Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect treat for a quick and comforting breakfast or snack.”
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 1/2 cups Bisquick
- 1/3 cup milk…
- 1 egg
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 2 Tablespoons butter melted
- 3/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 Tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS:
- I. Prepare the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine Bisquick, milk, and egg using a fork. Mix just until all the ingredients are combined, forming a dough.
II. Create the Sugar/Nut Mixture: 2. In a separate medium-sized bowl, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and chopped nuts.
- Add 2 tablespoons of melted butter to the sugar/nut mixture and stir to moisten. Set this mixture aside.
III. Roll Out the Dough: 4. Generously flour your rolling surface and hands.
- Turn the dough out onto the floured surface and pat it into a rectangular shape using your hands.
- Use a rolling pin to gently thin the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness. Be careful not to over-roll to prevent sticking.
IV. Assemble the Cinnamon Rolls: 7. Once rolled out, pour 3/4 cup of melted butter over the entire surface, then use a pastry brush to spread it evenly, reaching the edges.
- Sprinkle the sugar/nut mixture evenly over the melted butter.
- Starting from the long end, roll the dough into a log.
- Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch to 1/2-inch slices. You can use dental floss to make clean cuts without flattening the pastry.
- Transfer the slices to a well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan, using a spatula to make it easier.
V. Bake and Finish: 12. Bake in a preheated 375-degree Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius) oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tops of the rolls are just golden brown.
- Allow the cinnamon rolls to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
VI. Prepare the Drizzle: 14. In a separate bowl, combine powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until you reach your desired drizzling consistency.
- Drizzle this icing over the tops of the cinnamon rolls.
