Crab & Cream Cheese Snacks

“Crab & Cream Cheese Snacks offer a delightful blend of crab and cream cheese that’s hard to resist. “

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-8 oz. tube crescent roll dough
  • 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup cooked crabmeat, choppe
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/8- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a cookie sheet by spraying it with cooking spray.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough on a work surface. Pinch the seams to seal them and use a rolling pin to create an even rectangle. Then, cut the dough into 6 rows by 4 rows to make a total of 24 squares.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, crabmeat, diced onion, and red pepper. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spoon the crab mixture evenly onto the squares, placing it about 1/2 inch from one corner of each square.
  5. Starting from the same corner where you placed the filling, fold the dough over the filling and tuck the end tightly underneath. Continue rolling the dough until you reach within 1/2 inch of the opposite corner.
  6. Roll the opposite corner of the dough over the roll and press to seal the crescent. Place each completed roll on the prepared cookie sheet.
  7. If desired, you can brush the tops of the rolls with egg white for a nice finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
  9. Once done, remove the rolls from the cookie sheet and serve them warm. Enjoy your crab-filled crescent rolls!
