Ingredients
- - 1 pound ground beef
- - 1 cup breadcrumbs
- - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- - 1/4 cup milk
- - 1 egg
- - 2 cloves garlic minced
- - 1/2 teaspoon salt
- - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- - 2 cups marinara sauce
- - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- - 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, milk, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
- Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- In a casserole dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Add a layer of baked meatballs, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
