INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 grams pomade butter (blend at room temperature)I
  • 120 grams of sugar
  • 280 grams of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl, start by mixing the butter and sugar together. Make sure the butter is at room temperature for smooth blending.
  2. Once mixed, add in the teaspoon of vanilla essence and continue to blend until well combined.
  3. Now, add the sifted flour to the mixture. Remember to sift the flour before adding it to the bowl to ensure a smooth texture. Blend everything together thoroughly.
  4. It’s time to shape the cookie dough. The easiest method is to form a roll with the dough, as shown below, using parchment or plastic wrap. Place the roll in the fridge for approximately 1 hour or until it’s firm.
  5. After chilling, slice the dough into rounds, each about 1 cm thick.
  6. Place the cookie slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C (about 350°F) for approximately 11-12 minutes. Keep an eye on the cookies, and once you notice the edges beginning to turn golden, take them out. If they still seem a bit soft, don’t worry. They will harden as they cool.
