RECIPE :

Apple Cheesecake Danish Bars

INGREDIENTS:

  • (2) 8 oz packages crescent roll dough
  • (2) 21oz cans apple pie filling
  • (2) 8oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick), melted
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. Roll out the first package of crescent roll dough and place it in the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer.
  5. Spoon both cans of apple pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
  6. Place the second crescent roll dough on top of the apples and pour the melted butter over it.
  7. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake for 30-34 minutes.
  8. Allow the bars to cool before cutting.
