Ingredients

  • 500 g Pasta of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic, crushed
  • 750 grams Lean Ground Beef
  • 600 grams canned Tomato Soup, condensed
  • 600 grams canned Mushroom Soup, condensed
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and spray a large oven dish with cooking spray.
  • Cook the pasta in a large pot according to the instructions on the packet.
  • While the pasta is cooking, sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until done.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and return it to the pot.
  • Add the cooked meat, condensed tomato and mushroom soups, and milk to the pasta. Stir to combine and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared oven dish. Sprinkle with paprika and dried parsley.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Amish Country Casserole!

Notes

For a variation, you can add shredded cheese on top before baking for extra indulgence. This casserole is great for meal prep and leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days.
