Short And Sweet Mini Strawberry Shortcake Shooters

I served these cute Mini Strawberry Shortcake Shooters yesterday as part of a dessert buffet.

They are super easy to make and fun to eat with little disposable spoons you can pick up at a party themed shop.

By the way, that stunner of a carrot cake in the buffet photo will be in a post real soon.

Ingredients:

Sara Lee Pound Cake (in the freezer section)
Strawberries
Whipped Cream
Sugar

Directions:

!. Cut strawberries into small pieces. Add sugar and set aside for a few minutes to let them release their juices.

2. Cut the pound cake into small cubes.

3. Layer the ingredients in shot glasses or small disposable coupes. First add pound cake, then some whipped cream, strawberries, more whipped cream, and more strawberries to top.

4. Serve with small disposable spoons.

To make 16 of the shooters I needed about half of the pound cake and 3/4 pound of strawberries. I probably used about 3/4 cup whipped cream.
