Homemade Lemon Bread

* Ingredients :
* Icing:
☞  1 tablespoon lemon juice
☞   1/4 cup sugar

* Cake:
☞ 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
☞ 1 teaspoon baking powder
☞ 1/2 teaspoon salt
☞ 1/2 cup vegetable fat
☞  1 cup sugar
☞ 2 eggs
☞ lemon zest
☞  1/2 cup milk

* Directions  :

STEP 1
Preheat the oven to 350 ° F.

STEP 2
In a bowl, mix the flour/ baking powder & salt. Reserve these dry ingredients.

STEP 3
In another bowl, cream the fat. Gradually add the sugar and beat after each addition of sugar.

STEP 4
Add the eggs to the fat-sugar mixture. Beat well.

STEP 5
Add the lemon zest. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk.

STEP 6
Pour it in a greased butter template  .

STEP 7
Bake at 350 ° F for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry.

STEP 8
Meanwhile, combine the lemon juice and sugar. Spread on the bread as soon as it comes out of the oven.

STEP 9
Let cool for 10 minutes before unmolding on a mesh.
