Ingredients

  • 2 tubes Crescent Rolls
  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter fully melted
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoons milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, use a mixer to combine the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, pure vanilla extract, and granulated sugar until well combined. Set aside.
  • Open your crescent roll tubes but do not unroll them. Use a sharp knife to cut through them, making thick slices.
  • Lay each slice on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  • Use your fingers or a small measuring cup to create a small wall around the edge of each slice to hold the filling.
  • Using a brush, mix the melted butter with the light brown sugar, then brush the mixture over each danish.
  • Dollop even amounts of the cream cheese filling into each danish.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 16-18 minutes or until slightly golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly.
  • In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk for the glaze. Stir until smooth, then drizzle over each warm danish.
  • Top with cherry, blueberry, or strawberry filling if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

Ensure to create a small wall around the edge of each danish to hold the filling. Optionally, top with cherry, blueberry, or strawberry filling for added flavor.
